Fence styles

Privacy fences

Six- to eight-foot fences that close off the backyard, built to your neighborhood's height and style rules.

Cedar privacy fence

Overview

Full privacy, approved the first time

A privacy fence is the most requested project we build. Most are cedar, in side-by-side, board-on-board, or capped styles, stained to the HOA's color.

Height is where rules differ most. In The Woodlands, solid fences top out at 7'6", or 8'6" along major streets, with 2 more inches allowed for a cap. Many HOAs set 6 or 8 feet. In the City of Houston, a fence over 8 feet needs a permit.

  • Built to your height limit.
  • Finished side out, as most rules require.
  • Three rails and deep posts for a straight fence.
