About Fall Creek

A golf community with a Humble address

Fall Creek sits on the north side of Beltway 8, about 8 miles from Bush Intercontinental Airport, on the former site of the El Dorado Country Club. The first residents moved in in 2003, and the community has grown to about 2,500 homes, from patio homes to executive and custom estates. It's in Humble ISD, with Fall Creek Elementary inside the neighborhood.

The Golf Club of Houston anchors it, with a public Tournament Course designed by Rees Jones and a private Member Course. There are also three catch-and-release fishing lakes and a 65-acre park with trails through a nature preserve.

The mailing address says Humble, but Fall Creek is in unincorporated Harris County. That means no City of Humble fence permit. The county flood map and your HOA's rules decide what's needed, so we check both first.

Plan first

Before you fence in Fall Creek

  • City limits. Fall Creek is outside the City of Humble and the City of Houston, so neither city's fence rules apply.
  • Permits. Unincorporated Harris County requires no fence permit outside the special flood hazard area. Inside an A or V zone, a permit with site plan and fence design is required.
  • Approvals. We confirm your HOA's current fence requirements and prepare your drawing and written quote.
  • Flood and drainage. Lake-side and low lots get a flood map check first, and we choose designs that let water pass.
  • Texas 811. We request utility locates before every dig.

Community and county rules change. We confirm what applies to your address before we quote, and we don't build until approvals are in hand.

Questions

Fall Creek fence questions

Do you serve Fall Creek?

Yes. We install and repair fences throughout Fall Creek, from patio home sections to golf course and estate lots.

I have a Humble address. Do I need a City of Humble fence permit?

No. Fall Creek is in unincorporated Harris County, not inside Humble’s city limits, and the City of Houston isn’t one of its taxing entities either. The county doesn’t require a residential fence permit outside the special flood hazard area. Inside an A or V zone, it does.

What fence works on a golf course lot?

Usually a see-through fence in powder-coated steel. It keeps the course view and stands up to stray shots. We confirm what your HOA allows on course lines before we design.

Do I need HOA approval?

Plan on it. Fall Creek has a homeowners association, and fence changes generally need its review. We give you a drawing and written quote to send with your request.

My fence is from when the house was built. Is it time to replace it?

Homes here date back to 2003, so many original fences are past 20 years. We’ll check the posts and rails and tell you whether a repair will hold or a full replacement makes more sense.
