About Tour 18

A neighborhood built around a golf course

Tour 18 Golf Club opened in November 1992 at 3102 FM 1960 East. Its 18 holes are modeled on famous holes from courses around the country. The homes around it make up the Tour 18 neighborhoods, built by Village Builders and KB Home. KB Home opened its Villages at Tour 18 section in 2022, with a limited number of golf course homesites and one- and two-story plans from about 2,000 to 3,400 square feet.

The neighborhood is in Harris County, ZIP 77338, and zoned to Humble ISD. An HOA reviews exterior changes. Because of how close it sits to Humble, we check whether each address falls inside city limits.

Fence work here splits into two types: open steel where a yard faces the course, and privacy cedar everywhere else, often upgrading what the builder put in.

Plan first

Before you fence at Tour 18

  • HOA approval. We confirm the rules for your section, especially on the course side, and submit the plan first.
  • City or county. We confirm whether your lot is inside the City of Humble, where a fence permit is required, or in unincorporated Harris County.
  • Flood map. In unincorporated Harris County, a permit applies only inside a mapped special flood hazard area. We check yours.
  • Easements. We check your plat for utility and drainage easements along the back line.
  • Texas 811. We request utility locates before every dig.

Community, city, and county rules change. We confirm what applies to your address before we quote, and we don't build until approvals are in hand.

Questions

Villages at Tour 18 fence questions

Do you serve Villages at Tour 18?

Yes. We work across the Atascocita and Humble area, including the Tour 18 neighborhoods. Estimates are free, and we’re open 7 days, 7 AM to 7 PM.

Do I need a permit?

It depends on where your lot sits. A Humble mailing address doesn’t always mean you’re inside Humble city limits. Inside the City of Humble, a fence permit is required. In unincorporated Harris County, a permit is needed only in a mapped special flood hazard area. We check your address before we quote.

What fence works on a golf course lot?

Black powder-coated steel is the usual pick. It keeps the view of the course and lets the yard feel bigger. Many golf communities require an open fence on the course side, so we confirm the HOA’s rules first.

Will a steel fence stop golf balls?

No fence will. Steel is the practical choice because a stray ball won’t crack it the way it can a wood picket.

Can you upgrade my builder fence?

Yes. We can rebuild it in board-on-board cedar on steel posts, add a cap and trim, or stain it. You’ll get a written quote and an 18-month workmanship warranty.
