About Augusta Pines

A neighborhood built around a tour course

Augusta Pines sits in Spring near Kuykendahl and West Rayford roads, in unincorporated Harris County and the 77389 ZIP. Development started in the late 1990s around the 18-hole Augusta Pines Golf Club, a course designed by Tour 18 that hosted a Champions Tour event from 2003 to 2007. Water comes into play on more than a third of its holes.

The housing mix is wide. There are patio home sections, standard single-family streets, and custom homes on golf-view and oversized homesites. A mandatory homeowners association covers the community.

So the fence question depends on the lot. A course-side lot usually wants a fence you can see through. A patio home wants a clean, compact privacy fence. Older sections have original fences that are due for replacement. We sort out which one you have and what the HOA allows before we quote.

What works here

Fences that suit Augusta Pines

Course-side ornamental

Powder-coated steel keeps the fairway and water in view, takes a stray ball better than wood, and doesn't need staining.

Ornamental fences →

Patio home privacy

On a small lot, horizontal cedar on steel posts or a tight board-on-board fence looks finished from the patio and the street.

Repair or replace

The older sections are now past 20 years. We'll tell you whether new pickets and posts will do, or whether it's time for a full replacement.

Plan first

Before you fence in Augusta Pines

  • Approvals. We confirm your HOA's current fence rules and give you a drawing and written quote for your request.
  • Permits. No county permit outside the special flood hazard area. Inside an A or V zone, Harris County needs a permit with site plan and fence design.
  • Golf course lines. We check what's allowed along the course before we pick a style or height.
  • Shared fences. On patio homes, a fence often serves two owners. We help you sort out the line and the neighbor before we start.
  • Texas 811. We request utility locates before every dig.

Community and county rules change. We confirm what applies to your address before we quote, and we don't build until approvals are in hand.

Questions

Augusta Pines fence questions

Do you serve Augusta Pines?

Yes. Augusta Pines is in 77389, the same ZIP as our office at 1401 Lake Plaza Dr in Spring, so it’s close to home for our crews.

Is Augusta Pines part of The Woodlands?

No. It’s often grouped with The Woodlands, but it’s a separate community in unincorporated Harris County. The Woodlands’ RDRC process doesn’t apply. Your HOA’s rules and the county flood map do.

Do I need a permit?

Outside the special flood hazard area, unincorporated Harris County doesn’t require a residential fence permit. If your lot is in an A or V zone, the county requires a permit with a site plan and fence design. We check the map for your address.

What's the best fence for a lot on the golf course?

Usually a see-through fence in powder-coated steel, which keeps the fairway view and stands up to stray shots and sprinklers better than wood pickets. We confirm what your HOA allows on course lines before we design.

Do patio homes need a different kind of fence?

Patio home yards are small, so the fence is a bigger share of what you see. Horizontal cedar or board-on-board can make a tight yard feel finished. We check your section’s style and color rules first.
