Fences for Fosters Mill
A smaller Kingwood village of about 550 homes near Kingwood Drive and Forest Garden Drive, built out in 1982.
About Fosters Mill
A compact village from the early 1980s
Fosters Mill Village sits near Kingwood Drive and Forest Garden Drive. With about 547 single-family homes, it's one of the smaller Kingwood villages. It was built out by 1982 and is zoned to Humble ISD, with Deerwood Elementary, Riverwood Middle, and Kingwood High.
The Fosters Mill Village Community Association handles the village. Like all of Kingwood, Fosters Mill is in Harris County and has been inside the City of Houston since 1996.
With homes this age, most fences here are past their first life. The usual job is a full rebuild that matches what the association approved, sometimes with a wider gate for a boat, trailer, or side-yard access.

Before you fence in Fosters Mill
- Association approval. We submit the plan to the Fosters Mill Village Community Association and wait for approval.
- Permits. City of Houston permit only for fences over 8 feet or masonry and concrete fences.
- Shared fences. If the fence line is shared, we help you talk through it with your neighbor before work starts.
- Trees. We work around mature roots and trim only what's needed to set the fence.
- Texas 811. We request utility locates before every dig.
Community and city rules change. We confirm what applies to your address before we quote, and we don't build until approvals are in hand.

Fosters Mill fence questions
Do you serve Fosters Mill?
Yes. We work throughout Kingwood, including Fosters Mill Village. Estimates are free, and we’re open 7 days, 7 AM to 7 PM.
Do I need a permit for a new fence?
Usually not. Fosters Mill is inside the City of Houston, which requires a fence permit only for fences over 8 feet or for masonry and concrete fences.
Who approves fence changes here?
The Fosters Mill Village Community Association. We prepare the drawing, material, and color details for your submittal and build after it’s approved.
Can you add a drive gate to my existing fence?
Yes. We build cedar and steel drive gates on steel frames so they don’t sag, and we set the posts for the weight. If the new gate changes how the fence looks from the street, it goes in the submittal too.
